A personal touch to your baby's cloths

In the Neapolitan dialect we use to say "i figli so' piezz' e core" which means: every mother is fond of her child. It is true that we all love our children, or little sisters or brothers or grandchildren or nephews... There exists a lot of creations and products dedicated to babies and during the long nine months of pregnancy, a lot of mothers-to-be love ralxing a bit by embroidering and knitting.
Bibs, blankets, puppets... A lot of ideas just to entertain our children!
Among the last products by DMC inserted in our catalog, there are the kits "Personal Touch Collection" with several drawings: sailing boats, butterflies, man in the moon, ducks and teddies.
Each kit contains: chart, needle, threads (Mouliné Spécial, Mouliné Variations DMC), instructions and a 14 ct Soluble Canvas (10x10cm). This fabric is very particular as it is water-soluble. Once the embroidered finished, you just need to dip for 5,10 minutes the piece inside a bowl of lukewarm (40-50°C) soapy water and the fabric will disapper! In this way it will be possible to customize any dress or blanket, without being worried about the type of fabric or filling. The Soluble Canvas is similar to the classic Aida and it has to be placed on the plain of the fabric where you want to embroider your design. Just fix the canvas with a hoop or some running stitches and begin with your work!
Moreover, the kits contain also an alphabet to customize the embroidery with a name. Your children will have a very personal and unique article of clothing!
