Amy Bruecken has learned how to cross stitch from her mum Sandra, who can stitch perfect crosses, never letting floss fraying and always with a perfect back! When Amy was still at college, in 1980, Sandra decided to open a shop in Ohio, focusing on the exclusive sale of charts and frames for already stitched needleworks. For over 25 years, Amy has experienced her mother's joy and enthusiasm for this business, trying to emulate her, thanks also to all the love and devotion Sandra put in her job.

However, Amy decided to create her own charts only after studying design and decoration. So, an "academic" passion has turned into an actual work. Amy's patterns are often based on a simple sketch, spontaneously drawn on paper. Amy created her first charts with her sister, for the brand they had established together, called Sisters and Best Friends. Their family engagements and the distance have then led the two sisters to separate (just in terms of business!), so a new brand came out Amy Bruecken Designs. A fresh and young style is the distinguishing feature of Amy's projects, together with dogs and cats, which she definitely loves depicting. Just as, for example, in Cat Lips and Dog Lips.

But the top seller of Amy Bruecken Designs is the particular, small picture called Happy Everything that's already leading us to the Spring, with its vivid and funny colors. The same lively shades, together with definitely modern lines, are to be found in the projects matching needlework and creative sewing, just like in the small cushion Bite Me and in Tada Penggy.
