If not… Hurry up! For, as usual, the Japanese brand Clover is hitting the mark!

These small tools remind us somehow of the tricks of magicians and are used to create - very easily and as quickly - fabric flowers of different shapes and sizes. They range from the simple, but always trendy, daisies, to the more researched orchids, just to mention a couple of examples, to decorate projects and objects, clothes and accessories! Or just to realize amazing wreaths, with flowers that will never wither And, of course, anything our creative flair is suggesting us.

There are 15 Kanzashi Flower Makers, all so colorful and user friendly, as showed by the number of tutorials available in the Internet (in English, as usual, but very easy to follow, no matter what’s your language), such as this one here, for example:



Just one more, interesting detail: in Japan, the name "Kanzashi" stands for the traditional decorations that women have already been using since the second half of the 19th century, for their hairstyles. They are made just like flowers and, at the very beginning, the were manufactured by skillful craftsmen, not only with precious silks and fabrics, but also with lacquered wood and turtle shell… And, in fact, they were said to even be used as defense weapons by ladies, in case of emergency!

Today, the Kanzashi are worn mainly by brides and by the Japanese women who are still used wearing their traditional kimono… However, more and more young Japanese girls are rediscovering them and match them with their jeans, as well as with their “Western” outfits

Now it’s our turn, to craft the Kanzashi flowers we like most and relaunch them in newer and newer trends!
