A name that sounds already as a sort of guarantee of amusement! Carousel Charts is a 100% American brand established by Janet Raty, who started creating cross stitch charts for her friends, when she was just a teenager. Thanks to her mum, she then learned how to stitch with perfect back, getting fonder and fonder of needlework. As a matter of fact, hers is a "family of art", well known in the world of embroidery and craft on the whole.
Janet's designs are much loved by little ones. As a matter of fact, besides being a cross stitch designer, Janet works as an illustrator of children books and a teacher: she holds drawing and painting classes (using both watercolors and pencils), in many schools. But her "many-sided way" doesn't stop here, however! For she also creates her charts with her computer and manages her website: a real, imaginative and creative webmaster!
And her creative flair is definitely evident (and can be easily recognized!) in her patterns, all sharing a vivid and funny style. Such as the irreverent angel of Welcome Angel or the more recent (and contemporary, we should say, considering the freezing temperatures of these days!) Bell Curve Beauty.
The universe of carousels, giving its name to the brand, plays the leading role in her sampler Girl Carousel Birth Record, too, whose incomes are partly addressed just to the association managing the preservation of the most ancient carousels in America.
A brand new, colorful and somehow "gipsy" world, that's definitely going to strike you for its originality!
