Jennifer Cooke Rabig started embroidering when she was a little child. She began with children needlepoint kits, then her mother and grandmother taught her how to sew and crochet. Her mother-in-law taught her, when she was just a new bride, how to knit. Jennifer is a simple woman, just one of us, who entered a very normal haberdashery's in her town and fell in love with the beauty of a picture made in counted stitch. From that moment on she has felt the need to express herself with needle and threads, firstly as a simple hobby, then as a job, an original and a bit naif way to earn some money.
So, the
Ladybug Lane Designs was born, with all the luck, fortune and good will that ladybugs represent.
The creations by Jennifer are deeply rooted in the American spirt even if the very first chart made for
Ladybug Lane Designs is an
Irish poem dedicated by Jennifer to her husband. By the way, totally American is the chart called
Happy Halloween: ghosts and pumpkins celebrate all together the last day of October. With no time and no boundaries, here is
A Mother's Heart, ideal to celebrate Mum's Day or your mom's birthday.
Finally, an anthem to the USA in
Let Freedom Sing that, with its stars and stripes, celebrates Jennifer's love for her country.
