Hi Folks!
The countdown has started: just few days and we'll be exchanging our presents under the tree, in that sweet and thrilling practice we all know
But, honestly, we're all quite spent, at this time, by running through overcrowded shops and malls... So, for those last-minute little presents, why not simply rely on our
Big Shot and craft something easy and nice, in less than an hour?
For example, a useful and funny hot-water bottle cover!
Some pieces of
soft, light and colorful felt, the cutting die already included in our
Starter Kit della Big Shot or any other simple cutting die, such as
the flowers or
the circles and... You're done!
Just start creating the paper pattern, tracing a line all around your hot-water bottle and adding 2 cm all around the edge: this is going to be our cutting line. Now, let's cut the paper pattern, that's going to be the front side of our cover. To create the back side, we'll need to leave an opening, to then insert our hot-water bottle. So, just put on top the 2 pieces of the back side for about 3 cm and cut all around, leaving 1 cm for our sewing margin. Now, following the parts of our paper pattern, let's cut the felt pieces. We're now ready to embellish the front side and that's when we can have most fun, for we can definitely indulge ourselves with any kind of cutting die/shape. For adde "strength" to our applications, we can quickly apply some
fusible web. Then, just place your applique as you like and machine sew them with a plain stitch, or hand sew them with a nice blanket stitch. Let's complete our cover by sewing all its pieces together, after placing and pinning them front to front. Let's turn everything inside out and... We're ready to pack up this little gift for any always-cold friend
If you're fond of paper, why don't you go for some wonderful candles, decorated very easily and quickly, too? Once again with your
Big Shot beside you, select some cutting dies, re-echoing some sort of vintage labels, such as, for example,
these "funky" ones,
this old-style frame or
this set of cards and, to cut some paper stripes, or rectangles, all in different sizes
the 2"x4.5" rectangle,
the the 4"x8" rectangle or
these stripes. Then, no limits with our Christmas paper albums:
Merry Little Christmas,
12 days of Christmas double-face,
Forever Friends,
Carta Peppermint,
First Noel,
12 days of Christmas di Graphi-45 and just cut stripes and labels, to be placed one over the other as you like, in the most vivid and contrasting colors and patterns, to then simply glue them together. Roll them around some simple, white candles of different diameters and... There you are
The amazing Christmas candle light twinkling is guaranteed and no one will receive identical presents from your hands!!!
Hear from us soon and... Happy Holidays!

Cinzia.
