Mice from Ellen Jareckie

Date Added: 04/12/2010

The Heaven and Earth Designs has dedicated an entire series to the creations by Ellen Jareckie. This artist from Vermont loves drawing the animals living in the country, but she is famous above all for her little mice. It's probably their humanlike expression which make them look so nice!
Here are some examples. In I Cross My Heart two little mice are cross-stitching a heart, whereas a third little friend is rolling in the thread skeins. From embroidery to knitting in Knit a Rific where five little mice are wearing sweaters, caps and socks all handmade. Thimbles, needles and a punchneedle are the protagonists in On Pins and Needles. In the end, a completely different atmosphere in Applesauce where a baby mouse eats like a child some good applesauce. As country little animals, these sweet mice become the ideal protagonists for an embroidery to create for your best friends.
