Dear Friends,

here we are! In our last newsletter we had anticipated to you some important news about the Fifth Edition of the Festa del Ricamo which will be held, we remind it to you, Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th of April.
Right, this year the most important event for Casa Cenina will last 2 days and the guests will not only present their works on Sunday, but also - and above all - they will teach to a limited number of you their techniques.

Here are the names of the 3 authors:

• Marie-Thérèse Saint-Aubin: once again our guest after the 2009 edition, here is the famous French designer with her elegant and minute embroidery. It will be a pleasure to take part to her presentation of the peinture à l'aiguille and to directly understand how she transforms a handmade pattern into a chart.


• McKenna Ryan: who better than an American woman can explain to us the patchwork? And who can do it better than McKenna? Rightly considered one of the most popular designer of this sector, McKenna will bring to Casa Cenina her joy and the thousand colors of her cotton fabrics. The secrets of quilting will be soon explained also to the Italian women thanks to the advice of a real master of this sector.


• Alessandra Caputo: awarded with the prize for the precious work and collaboration in the lace domain, Alessandra is a fundamental figure in the Italian world of lace (needle lace, lace pillow, chiacchierino, macramè). She will bring to the Festa del Ricamo her "Memoria" project, thus promoting and discovering with the participants of her class the art of "ribbon" lace, "continuous threads" lace and so on.

The little market will be opened in the afternoon of Saturday and all the day on Sunday. Like all the years, it will propose a selection of our 71.000 products. We will certainly sell all the products linked to our guests: other than the charts, fabrics, threads and accessories necessary for creating their works!


Of course the authors will be at your complete disposal during the whole Sunday!
