Papillon Creations and Celts

Date Added: 09/01/2010

Celtic Beauty
The Papillon Creations is famous for the wonderful fusion of modern and antique tastes which characterizes all its charts. More specifically, the samplers are inspired by antique patterns made more contemporaneous in their colors and forms as to better suite the present fashion. But in order not to lose the flavor and value of the past, each chart is accompanied by the history of the sampler which has inspired it.
With such an antique-modern taste, some new models have been created and then inserted in our catalog: Celtic Beauty and Celtic Warrior, the first to be cross-stitched and the second to be embroidered with special stitches. As the Papillon Creations explains, from the very beginning, humans have always loved decorating their skin, with both tattoos and body-painting. Celts have been the first to make this practice a habit, also for prayers and battles. The two concerned samplers are the re-interpretations of the antique designs with which Celts used to decorate their bodies by using woad, a special plant employed for paintings (also in tapestry) until the Middle-Age.
If you embroider just one of these charts of both of them, you will obtain a very Celtic fashionable house!
