I'll tell you what: this post is dedicated to one of the Italian designers - and we all know that there aren’t a lot in Italy, but those "few" we have here can definitely compete with the as great French and Anglo-Saxon names that populate our world! - that, in our opinion, has fully showed her ability to match the best of particular simplicity and maximum elegance.

As she says in her blog, she likes to be called by name… So, we’re glad to follow what she likes and introduce her to you with her name, first – Carolina Primi – and her brand also: "Cuore e Batticuore" . We’re pleased to boast her among our designers, here at Casa Cenina

Carolina is a relaxed, smiling lady who loves beauty and has managed to turn her passion for cross stitching and creative sewing into a real job, where she concentrate all her taste for freshness and easiness, combining it with a touch of little 'retro and French, shabby and country” sophistication, which seems to come directly from the dressmakers and milliners’ sketches of the major Italian fashion houses of the 50s, whose accuracy and allure have been epoch-making worldwide!

A small cut of linen, a pattern - often in one color, in other cases with some different shades, cleverly harmonized - some small cuts of printed fabrics and, perhaps, a tasty ribbon, or a small charm, and the magic takes shape right under our eyes As in the instance of this delightful pouch or as in this bag, perfect for drying spices… That we can grow even on the balconies of our houses (not the all of are as lucky as the First Lady Michelle Obama, who can rely on a true vegetable garden at the White House )
