Cats by Calico Crossroads

Today we want to present to you a series of products which are very particular and modern even if they refer to a more classic and loved world: the cats.
We are talking about the brand Calico Crossroads by Linda Connors and her husband Jim. Linda takes care of the more creative part: it's her who realizes the design and who converts the images into charts to embroider. On the contrary, Jim is responsible for the website and the accounting. Art and action are well-balanced in this couple!
Linda has always shown a great interest in the textile world, byexperimenting all the possible and several techniques: from the classic cross-stitch to the batik (the dyeing of the fabrics which is a bit "hippy", with almost psychedelic spots and nuances), from the knitting to the tailoring. And now she's fond of the machine embroidery, a real must of the whole Calico Crossroads.
The collection by Linda & Jim is really influenced by their lifestyle. In fact the cats on the charts are those they have in their true life: the 16 years old Murphy and the little 5 year old Dexter, which inspire the designs by Kats by Kelly™.
Their actions are told in these very nice charts. In the new Devil's Cat Food, a little black cat (maybe Dexter?) eats a good slice of cake, whereas in Fantastic View, the same kitten is hanging on the fan and from that place he looks at the dining room.
