Embroidering and Traveling
From an external point of view, that of embroidery can be seen as an exclusively sedentary hobby. On our armchair, maybe facing the hearth and with a cat on our carpet, we skilfully move our fingers among the threads and the fabrics whereas the rest of our body relaxes. But certain charts and certain subjects make us travel far away, crash the walls of hour house to arrive at far lands like that of the Rising Sun by means of our fantasy.
A bit of aida, some cottons, a needle and some pearls in order to get beyond the limits and dream a bit. This is the atmosphere evoked by the new kit by Design Works Crafts: Geisha. Joan Elliott from America brings us to Japan with the winter colors. The color bleu is dominant in this chart that with elegance and refinement represents the symbol of Japanse women. The same style can be found in the Elegance of the Orient, Enchanting Geisha and Jewels of the Orient. Three easy kits to realize with metallic threads and pearls which enrich these women's dresses.
And in order to explore also the male universe, here is a powerful Japan worrior The Mighty Samurai. THe dress is really elegant!
Just because embroidering is a bit like traveling...

A mammoth task, even for the dress decorations it wanted a long time, but the final satisfaction priceless. The face of tremendously realistic samurai, the details of the dress and the fantastic peacock, and the whole picture so well put in perspective that you feel that you enter. The weave of the fabric quite thin, so it makes little headway at a time, but because this is the most frequent comment of friends was: "looks like a painting!"! So, go Dimensions, continues so! continues to create pictures that appear to be photos to cross-stitch! Absolutely recommended, but be patient ...
