After "Alphabets anciens a broder", Veronique Maillard continued her work of collection of old albums. For many stitchers the letters of the alphabet are often related to floral and vegetable ornaments: ivy or the lily of the valley is interlaced around the letters or is placed in plank just below the embroidered monograms. All reproductions was drawn from the albums Sajou, Alexandre and Rouyer.
