Kumihimo is a japanese technique of string weaving, originally used for the fastening of garnments.
Traditionnaly made on a « marudai » (round wooden weaving loom), strings in kumihimo can nowadays be made with the help of a foam disc called « mobidai ». Very easy to use, it allows you weave from 4 to 32 plies: you just need to place the yarns on it and follow the chart.
It will then be easy to create bracelets, belts and even decorative accessories.
