This new edition has a rich preface by Bianca Rosa Bellomo and a detailed index of the cited names and texts (see below) which allows the readers to easily research what they are interested in. In order to facilitate the reading, the numbers of the pages have been inserted also in the Tables section and some images have been re-oriented.
The image of the cover represents a precious embroidery of the 16th century described by Elisa Ricci in the book. The original is preserved in the Turin Civic Museum and it is one of the main discoveries by Bianca Rosa Bellomo as far as embroidery and laces are concerned.
