The Premax Consortium group (specialist in the production of scissors and other cutting or piercing utensils) has realized this new embroidery scissors based on the Ring Lock System�, a patented method with a ring fastening that eliminates one of the most common problems in scissors, that the rotation screw slackens, which carries with it lack of efficiency and precision of cutting.

This handsome little scissor combines perfect balance with precision cutting. It has extremely comfortable finger openings, which would accommodate even a man's fingers, in my opinion. And a man just might like this tool; it has a modern brushed metal finish, and an impressively smooth blade hinge (the Ring Lock). This little workhorse also boasts a touch of Italian style; an offset curve of the shank gives a graceful element.

My only wish would be that they come with a cap of some type to cover the very sharp point. The scissors are well packaged, in a hard plastic case, to ensure the tips are not damaged before purchase. Unfortunately, the two pieces of the case completely separate (i.e. not on a hinge), so it is impractical to put away the scissors therein.

Altogether, very impressed with both the design and the functionality!
