Fil au Chinois Lace threads Ecru 120/2
The recently relaunched Fil Au Chinois brand has put together a range of threads, until now uniquely available to professional luxury lacemakers. The thread is long fibre cotton, made using Egyptian cotton (the best quality) which is carded (wire brushed), then combed. Following an age-old tradition, lace threads are graded according to an English numbering system (NE), which correspond to the number of skeins measuring 840 yards (768.1 metres) per English pound (453.6 grammes). The lower the number, the thicker the thread and the higher the number, the finer the thread.
This is a N° 120 thread, formed of two strands, thus it is referred to as 120/2.
Length of thread on bobbin: 1000mt.
Colour: Ecru.
Height of bobbin: 6.5cm. - Diametre : approx. 2.8cm.
