Martha Pollard 1811

Cross-stitch chart - Primitive

From: The Primitive Hare

This chart draws inspiration from an ancient sampler stitched by a young lady: Matha Pollard. She created these wonderful patterns in 1811, probably as a gift to her school friends. Martha Pollard attended Ackworth School from 1809 to 1811. The octagon medallion seems to have been particularly favoured by Quaker schools both in England and America. This chart is my way to celebrate this bicentenary: 1811 - 2011.

Bobbin
In Vicenza we had the pleasure to show you live some new wooden products, all handcrafted, which will make your embroidering works easier (and more elegant).

We had already introduced to you the The Primitive Hare in this post. Isabella's company is specialized in the creation of wooden products, all well refined and polished, smooth and treated with non-toxic substances. Like this Threads Keeper: Primitive Life Hornbook entirely hand-made and ideal for the chart Primitive Life.

Always made of wood and handcrafted, these bobbins 4.5 cm high, made of beech and very useful to arrange your threads. These little wooden products come directly from Belgium and our very loyal friend Marie Suarez has presented them to all of us in Vicenza.

And just at Abilmente a new and genial cooperation has started between Marie and Isabella… Who knows what these two artists are preparing for us?!?
