Summer Fabrics

ZweigartHi everyone!

Handling wool threads and fabrics when the average temperature is over 30°C is everything but convenient... And even now that's finally not so sultry anymore - or at least, so it seems - here at Casa Cenina we haven't given up entering more and more new embroidery fabrics, made of the two fibers considered as the "queens" of Summer, though perfect for any season: linen and cotton!

Once again, most of these fibers come from the worldwide known Zweigart universe.. with really nice and original addictions to their wide variety of colours: pinks, lilacs and hazelnut… and in this absolutely natural shade, comes this Tula Aida fabric with 40 stitches every 10 cm (10ct.), it allows much more space than the usual Aida 55, making it perfect for those of you with eyesight issues or for all the future stitches who want to start with an easy-to-count fabric.. Tula it's great for learning how to cross-stitch as well! ;D And now that we're talking about learning how to cross-stitch, we often get requests from moms who want to teach their daughters this art, looking for products that will fit their small, delicate hands.. :D Zweigart made this Herta fabric especially for this purpose: a "huge aida" with about 24 stitches every 10 cm (6ct.), absolutely perfect for everyone's first stitches!

And last but not least, in order to provide easy-countable gridded fabrics, great for big projects that reproduce big charts, here is the Easy Count Aida in two neutral shades: ecru and white with a printed 10x10 squares grid that will make counting way easier, allowing you more productive stitching hours and way less frogging!! :D stitch without bothering to grid the fabric with thread guide-lines, this soluble grid already does the trick, and will wash away at 40°C! :D

Summer is also the season giving us the most tasty and scented fruit and orange fruit that, just when the Fall is approaching, many of us enjoy canning and turning them into succulent conserves and sauces, or bottling them into liquors, such as the renowned "limoncello" and "nocino" (made respectively with lemons and walnuts). So, for the all of them (but not exclusively for them!) we have decided to even widen the range of aida stitching bands from Zweigart, 8 cm high, to quickly stitch the most lovely and personal labels for your glass jars and bottles: natural, antique white, cream and white

Don't forget to take with you a cotton or linen cut while on holiday: it'll come really useful! while waiting at the airport, for the ferry, on those long journeys by car..
happy holidays!!
And happy xxx! :D
