this is the Appleton collection of pure woolen 2-ply threads produced in England for more than 150 years and used in the XIX century by William Morris to create his best known rugs. These wools are thinner than the Tapestry ones and then they are ideal for being united in two different shades in the same needle, as to create whimsical color and shade combinations. They are very appreciated for their colors and for being very resistant when washed and they are suitable for creating all types of needlepoint works and rugs. They are available in 421 colors, in hanks of 180 meters divided into 8 groups of colors. In order to make the choice of the color easier, we have used different categories for each group and, inside the same group, the same image for the colors which belong to similar shades.
