The
Sajou company is especially famous for its collection of
scissors: some real masterpieces, craftmade with first quality materials which make them very precious and orginal.
But the maison of Versailles is also known for its elegance and fine taste for its ribbons and threads. We have recently inserted in our catalog the
Retors du Nord threads which are among the most appreciated materials in French embroidery. Our very loyal friend
Marie Suarez has suggested them to us for their wonderful cotton and brilliant colors. Made in France, these
Retors du Nord are so called because of the French region in the North where they are produced. The word
retors means
mouliné and, clearly, it indicates that the thread is twisted more times as to be more and more resistant and "compact".
Made of 4 divisible plies, the
Retors du Nord can be used as all the other threads, even if they are finer and more brilliant, thus better sliding oth the fabric.
Moreover, the real experts will absolutely appreciate their cardboard bobbin. It will be a pleasure for both hands and eyes to organize your threads! And, once the thread is over, the bobbins can be used for other cotton threads.
