Festa del Ricamo: Marie Suarez

We have been foreseeing
Some time ago we wrote a blog post about Marie Suarez, who is already loved in her country, Belgium, and who is ready to get known also by Italian embroiderers.
Well, Marie will be one of our guests in the fourth edition of the Festa del Ricamo next 23rd May and she will bring with her brand new creations and old projects, never published in Italy.
Marie has been awarded of the Maître Brodeur prize and since 1995, at first with Coeur de Lin and then on her own, she works in Bruxelles as an embroidery designer. She has worked a lot with the Vaupel und Heilenbeck enterprise for which she has created a lot of charts that she will be happy to show to you just during our Festa. On this matter, in our usual little market, we will exhibit also the exclusive fabrics matched by Marie herself to her V&H creations.
All works by Marie are inspired by the past, ranging from the cross-stitch charts and the doilies, to the restoration of old samplers to the peinture à l'aiguille.
Main expression of her style, one of the best products by Suarez© is Noel Blanc, where letters and images mix together red threads and écru linen. Why don't you give to your best friend the fine sampler Pour toi, mon amie? Beautiful and elegant are also the cards to customize and send to whom you love, like this Je pense à toi. Moreover, Marie will present also the works of her friend Gigi, another leading artist of this spring.
