William Morris produced a very pretty watercolour and ink sketch some time between 1880 - 1896, which is in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
Beth Russell has transformed this delicate painting into a very elegant needlepoint rug, as usual keeping to Morris' sensitive colouring and proportions.
CANVAS: 7/8#/in Zweigart Cream Rug Canvas, 35x57" (89x145cm).
DESIGN: 25x50" (63.5x127cm).
WOOLS: Appleton tapestry.
