A new French designer: Bernadette Baldelli
It's a pleasure to present to our embroidering friends a French artist that will fascinate you, we are sure of it!
It's
Bernadette Baldelli, winner of the famous SEMA prize in 2009 by the National Institute of Arts and Crafts who has been firstly introduced in the Italian market by Casa Cenina. Some of you might know her for her book,
Créations en fleurs de laine, on the creation of flower decorations made of wool, fabric and felt. Bernadette is also famous for other techniques. Not only cross-stitch but also creative sewing and hardanger.
As for counted embroidery, Bernadette proposes a series dedicated to mountains. Skis on the back and a lot of snow in
these charts all to embroider during this long winter. And count stitches are also the protagonists in
these sweet pigeons and in
in this beautiful heart.
And very original are also these other charts by Bernadette, from the series
Angels/Anges. Cross-stitching mixes with hardanger and everything is made finer with the elegance of light pearls and beads. The final effect is surprisingly delicate!
A plus for this artist… Bernadette has been introduced to us by our loyal friend
Marie Suarez. This is a guarantee of wonderful quality, isn't it?
