One is called like the US city considered as the “most European city” in America: Boston. While the other one is a “classic” already in its name: Alpaca Classic, in fact.

They are the brand new knitting and crocheting yarns selected by Casa Cenina, because they are “universal”, i.e. really suitable for the most different projects and, even more, because they’re pleasantly soft and warm. The Boston is a mix of polyacrylic (70%) - but forget the rough polyacrylic of the past! Here, we’re talking of a very velvety feel - and pure virgin wool (30%). The Alpaca Classic is 40% alpaca wool and 60% pure merino wool.

Any piece of clothing and accessory crafted with the Boston can be machine washed, while for the Alpaca Classic hand washing is recommended. How to choose? Well, here’s the first element to bear in mind: the Boston is a “demi-chunky” yarn, so it’s quite substantial and to be used with knitting needles of 7 mm at least. The Alpaca Classico is a little thinner and calls for knitting needles from 4.5 to 5.5 mm. The rest is up to you and your creative flair!
