Barefoot Roses: Tanya Whelan

They are the most typical Spring flowers and someone wrote about them “roses smell good by profession”. And, to be true, they seem to emanate their scent even from the fabrics of the new collection from the US designer Tanya Whelan: classic roses, with that Victorian touch and shabby look, combined to polka dots and large stripes, re-echoing the traditional patterns of our grandparents' mattresses, stuffed with wool.

The name Tanya has chosen for this collection - Barefoot Roses - sounds like a tribute to the new, soon-to-come season, with its lively colors and life in the open air. All prints are perfect to sew totes and bags, accessories and leisure wear, even though with that classy look that roses, polka dots and large stripes always create. Let’s choose them also to embellish our cross stitch projects, finishing them with something special.
