Kathleen George, designer and owner of Cross Stitch Collectibles has built up her well-deserved fame on perfect reproductions of the best-known works of art of all times and she has chosen to donate the pattern of a particularly symbolic picture to our charity.
"The Golden Knight" by Gustav Klimt belongs to the so-called "golden period" of the renowned painter of the Viennese Secession.
A famous US art critic wrote that "this knight firmly believes in life..." and we can truly guess a fierce look behind the metal of his helmet: eyes looking forward, probably to some glorious future.
With that same positive look we should also look towards the future: we would like to think that this is the message, Kathleen wants to give us, by donating exactly this painting to us!
