"I've seen a huge egg, in my dreams, full of colored beams. Who was it for, on your list? For all the people, from West to East: full, full of surprises for any Country. There was wisdom inside it and much tenderness and unselfishness, and joy and kindness! A lot of peace, a lot of love, to fill each single heart, right from the start!"...
Well, to keep the rhymes in English, I had to do a "free translation" of this Italian nursery rhyme... But the sense of it is unchanged: our best wishes for you all, out there, for a very lovely Easter weekend!
In Italy, we were taught it at the primary school and, for many of us, it re-echoes those days, far away in time... But today, this nursery rhyme can be found in many websites: so, the tradition of this Feast, so important and colorful, so "Spring-scented" and symbolic in terms of Peace, and the whole modernity of the most powerful medium of this Third Millennium of ours, are matched together once again, as we're trying to do every day, here at Casa Cenina, by bringing to you all the taste of handcrafted, little things - as they were made once upon a time - through the Internet - the way it's made today! With a common thread in both cases: always finding back joy in one's heart!
These are our wishes for you - valid for Easter and beyond
- that we would like to send you along with a message of hope... And to do so, let us share with you the photos we were emailed by a dear Greek friend of ours, who loves stitching and "handcrafting", just like us all, and who's living, just like all common people in Greece, a time of hard crisis, maybe even heavier of that plaguing our homeland, with all the dignity and tenacity these special people are able of! Her messages are full of hope and spirit of "rebirth" and since Easter means "rebirthing", here are the pictures of her flowers in full bloom: perfect as a symbol for it and, we hope, a welcome surprise for her and for you all!
Take yourself a couple of minutes to look at them
here.
Happy Easter and hear from us soon again!
PS.: ... and a special "thank you!" to Michailia (she knows why), with our love and affection and yours as well, we believe
