Joan is a celebrity, in the world of cross stitching: a worldwide acknowledged artist, with a very long carrier. But in addition to this, she's a special lady, who embodies the fairies she draws in her great sweetness, her delicate gestures and her joyful approach to life. Her enthusiasm upon joining our charity and donating one of her original creations definitely honor us!
And in her "Girandola" we can find once more all the typical elements that have made her designs so much loved all over the world: her ability in matching also the most vivid color shades so tastefully; her drawing gentleness in all lines, making her female characters so graceful; the cheer in their harmonious movements and their tender expressions for the creatures of nature, being in this case a lovely bunny and a whole lot of wild flowers.

Joan has chosen to pay homage to Italy even with the name of her donated pattern - Girandola, meaning Pinwheel - probably thinking of that sense of lightness and mirth that this simple toy can give.
