The new romantic floral by Tone Finnanger.
The brand new collection of Tilda prints is called “Wallflower”: an English word that an English word that not only refers to a flower, but, we think, in the designer's intentions is more meant to recall the vibrant floral patterns of the wallpapers of the 1960s and 1970s, which were born on the hippie wave of “Flower Power”.
For sure, it is a lively collection, as Tone Finnanger, who, just at its presentation, gave a second key to the name “Wallflower,” which in English also refers to the shy ones who “don’t dare”, for example, at parties: “The name Wallflower takes me back to dancing school, at a time of my life where I was taller than all the boys and therefore doomed to be a wallflower. The ballroom had a distinctive 1970s floral wallpaper that I tried my best to disappear into, much like the shy girl in the Wallflower fabric design”, explained the Norwegian designer.
