ESSE – NOSSE – POSSE (to be, to know, to be able) is a triad which we find in the writings of the philosopher, writer and poet Tommaso Campanella (1568-1639) and, in general, in the humanistic rinaissance and in alchemy.
Bring to my mind the teaching of Socrates, carved on the Delphic Oracle Temple: Know Yourself.
So, my feelings are that the triad Esse – Nosse - Posse referes to seeking to be, instead of to appear, to regain possession of a knowledge already in the core of our deep being but also in everything around us and, the consequence, to the endless and the unimaginable possibility springs from that the fondamental Research of our lives.
