Pond House

From: Lynette Anderson

Pond House - Quilting
Pond House inspired from childhood memories of being taken to a neighbouring village in Dorset, England where Lynette's brother and Lynette were allowed to feed the duck and see the fish. The ramshackle house by the village pond, aptly named 'Pond House' was one they imagined might live in one day. This gorgeous quilt measures approx 196 cm. x 224 cm.
Note: 10 Patterns only! Materials are not included.

Needlework Patchwork Quilting
The product you have been looking for is not available in our catalog and/or it has been cancelled. We are sorry!

Don’t call them just “patterns”, please!
Lynette AndersonWe’ve already posted articles about her, her creative genius and her items that – after a long selection and an as long waiting, since they come from Australia! – we’ve finally and proudly managed to include in our online catalog… However, Lynette Anderson is certainly worth one more post, isn’t she?

And, this time, I’d like to give you some more details about two patterns that are a sort of “little investment”! And, even though this definition also applies to their price (sure, we’re talking of “important” prices”), I’m mainly thinking of the quilting projects these patterns are the basis of!

They’re called Pond House and My House or Yours and we’ve put them into the “quilting patterns” category: that’s where you can find them… But, yes, we’ve probably been a bit too reductive, in doing this way They’re, in fact, real and complete quilting projects!

The Pond House actually includes ten patterns altogether, gathering all the charts you need to complete the quilt that – in the USA and Australia – was sold as a so-called BOM (Block Of the Month) project – chart by chart, in ten months… In a couple of words, a sort of steady trickle of waiting

My House or Yours is even more consistent, since it’s composed by 13 patterns: 12 explaining each single block and the 13th one giving an overall sight of the whole quilt, so to make the instructions and assembling even clearer

Both of them share the characteristics distinguishing Lynette Anderson’s creativity: her country inspirations, enhancing her childhood memories in the UK and her personal fondness towards anything that’s strictly connected to nature with heart and soul; her use of warm, perfectly mixed, colors and the masterly match of the most traditional patchwork elements – such as log cabins and stars – with the most up-to-date patchwork techniques, such as appliqué and piecing!

So, whether you’re choosing the Pond House or My House or Yours, you’ll get the sure chance of “indulging your whim” with patchwork for weeks, cutting, assembling and quilting a real masterpiece, which is definitely going to draw the attention of many! The above-mentioned “small investment” is then more than ever worth the money: try and you’ll let us know

Hear from me soon and... Happy quilting!
From the magic hands of Lynette Anderson
Lynette AndersonWith the motto Stitching and draw make my heart smile we have the pleasure and the honor to introduce to all of you Lynette Anderson, author of this motto but, above all, the designer of a wonderful world of quilts, buttons, patterns and patchwork elements. All made of original shapes and materials!

Born in England, she moved to Australia at the beginning of the 1990s with her five men (husband and 4 boys!). Lynette started quilting in the middle of the 1980s and she has declared that with this art it was really love at first sight. However, after the birth of her fourth boy, in 1993, she thought he could write her own books and create her own charts. This idea became a real thing in about two years and in 1995 Lynette started drawing and… never stopped!

Today her collection includes charts, projects, buttons, fabrics and so on for the pleasure of those who love mixing different techniques
Actually Lynette is still a passionate, notwithstanding her business involvement, and all her projects show her technical competence!
For example these charts for bags are little masterpieces which combine in a wonderful, perfect and harmonious way patchwork and stitcheries – a simple embroidery which has a unique effect - and they can be further customized with the buttons that Lynette mainly create with wood. There are a lot of models and different shapes you can see here.

Her style is clearly influenced by the country technique, but all the creations by this genial designer are characterized by the choice of colors. They are different and contrasting, but together they create a harmonic patchwork.
Just see here!

Actually, do not be deceived: the entire collection by Lynette Anderson is not only for country lovers! Rather, the ability of this designer is evident from the fact that her works perfectly suit metropolitan atmospheres. They do add a warm and colorful touch to even more essential ambiences
