Fit for Purpose

Jenny Bear is an Australian quilter who trained some thirty years ago with Di Ford and other great teachers. Her style is traditional, but she says her fabric stock is rather eclectic. What she loves most of all is giving new life to disinherited textiles, salvaged blocks, abandoned tops, tiny scraps of fabric… She draws much of her inspiration from antique quilts seen in books or museums. She has brought together 19 of her creations in this warm and inspiring book, which mixes small and large projects, appliqué and pieced, simple and more arduous – in short, there’s something for every level of expertise!
Jenny has added the musical playlist that accompanied her during the creation of this moving book, whose title appropriately recalls the role of quilts past, present and future!
