Samhain 1692

Cross-stitch chart - Primitive

From: The Primitive Hare

With this chart you can create a very useful box for your needles and scissors. Samhain is the antique Celtic name which refers to the modern Halloween feast, whereas 1692 stands for the the date of the famous witch trials in Salem (Massachussetts).
Against all common opinions, Halloween is an European feast, of Celtic origins, well known also in Italy and whose habits are still known here in the country, at least it was like this some years ago...
The fabric has been treated with coffee in the oven after the embroidering.
