The Stitcherhood: a place made of stitches
A wood made of cross-stitches: here is The Stitcherhood, based in Athens and founded by Maria Warmke. Behind a great designer there is always, as usual, a great grand-mother! So Maria has learnt to sew and embroider in her summer and Christmas holidays spent with her grand-mother who was always busy in the kitchen, among pots and fabrics to embroider!
Her passion for manual arts has pushed Maria to dedicate her time stolen from her full-time job as a mum and housewife to the creation of her own charts. The designs she used to find in boutiques did not satisfy her! So she created a brand which is specialized in primitive subjects and quacker modern patterns. In particular the sea subjects and Halloween are Maria's favorite subjects.
The Stitcherhood aims above all at satisfying and addressing to younger stitchers. Simple but never banal stitches, modern motifs, but also perfect gifts for mum and dad. Maria loves spending some time with young embroiderers and for such a reason she has decided to make some charts which are indicated for a under 30 public. Ecco quindi delle Saint Valentine's cards for young lovers and a nice Santa Claus to wish your friends a Merry Christmas. And also stylized autumn landscapes, a howl and even a woodoo doll! Briefly, a young designer for young embroiderers!
