Here is a brand new French artist in Casa Cenina's catalog. By the way, this time cross-stitching and traditional embroidery are not the protagonists! Ticia is actually expert of wood painting and, in general, of decorative arts (among which also quilting and patchwork). This artist and self-made painter has won a lot of prizes especially in the States and in Switzerland for her particular techniques about which she wrote two books: Frimas & Flocons and Heures Printanières et Estive Paysanne.The main characteristic of all paintings by Ticia is that she draws only about seasons. So, choose a wonderful snowman to celebrate Christmas season, a Halloween pumpkin for autumn arrivale, some funny animals for summer and a nice rabbit hidden in the sweet spring.
All the shades of the different seasons are painted on the wood as to obtain nice projects to hang in your sitting room or to give as a present to your friends. The creation is very simple! Each chart actually presents a patter with the design to reproduce on the wood. The photos explain step by step how to paint and the instructions, in French, are enriched by sweet rhymes and poems.
