Fleurs de Digoin à broder et à coudre
Digoin pottery has reached the heart of French historical heritage, thanks to its 140-year history. Here, Cécile Pêcheur and Marion Frégonèse suggest to stitch a red and blue selection of these ever-enechanting, traditional designs.
Craft over 20 projects, that are going to give everyday life a touch of this delicate, ancient taste. The Digoin red and blue flowers proposed here have been especially revised for needlework and you can also find more than 20 projects of creative sewing and cartonnage, with step-by-step instructions.
Since she was a child, Marion Frégonèse has always been surrounded by embroidered linen, stitched by her grandmother, who was the one to give her the first threads and needles used to learn needlework. Her grandmother also gave her as a present her first Digoin Mary-Lou set. Cross stitch and pottery rich in flower decors and handcraft: this is Marion's passion!
Cécile Pêcheur has always been fond of ancient, traditional haberdashery and pottery. She loves collecting the most different models and, most of all, re-inventing them and giving them a new life. She mainly likes the floral and popular patters of Digoin pottery, with the harmony of their red and blue shades and their delicate designs.
