3023 is a pink from the Au Ver à Soie Soie de Paris range: pure silk with 6 easily divisible strands and an intense lustre, dyed in hanks for an even colour. On linen up to 16 threads per cm, stitch with 2 strands over two threads; a single strand is enough for tent stitch on silk gauze. It is used for traditional embroidery, counted work and cross stitch on linen and silk, and also for restoration, bobbin lace and miniatures.
Soie de Paris shares its shade card and numbers with Soie d'Alger, so the two silks are easy to combine. Photographs do not always match the real colour: for an accurate match use a shade card.
