A thread for experienced embroiderers: perfect for needle painting and for restoring tapestries and embroideries, it is also used for Japanese embroidery, bobbin lace and passementerie; a few filaments taken from the strand allow very fine work, even on silk gauze. Stitch with lengths of no more than 45 cm.

2400 is a yellow from the Au Ver à Soie Soie Ovale range: a flat, low-twist pure silk with an intense lustre, made for over 180 years. It is a thread for experienced embroiderers: perfect for needle painting and for restoring tapestries and embroideries, it is also used for Japanese embroidery, bobbin lace and passementerie; a few filaments taken from the strand allow very fine work, even on silk gauze. Stitch with lengths of no more than 45 cm.

Many shades share their number with Soie d'Alger, which makes it easy to pair the two silks. Photographs do not always match the real colour: for an accurate match use a shade card.
