just a few hours and the most awaited Holidays of the year will be here and we’d like to send you our best wishes from here, so that they can reach you everywhere and, through your display, may they come fully with our affection, from the very deep of our hearts!
Marjorie Holmes, a renowned, contemporary, American journalist and writer used to say that “at Christmas, all roads lead home” and, with no presumption of comparing ourselves to your “nest”, we’d like to think that “home”, for this Christmas, has also partly been Casa Cenina, too (for the Italian “casa” stays exactly for “home” in English!)
In our case, that home has become larger: the year 2011 has been “packed” with events for us, but – for sure – the most demanding, though even the one making us the happiest people in the world, was moving… With all the “blessing and curse” it has caused!
Luckily enough, the curse was soon over, and we now can see just the blessing And to us, the greatest blessing was the chance of welcoming you here, in our brand new and colorful headquarters, for all the first Saturdays of the last three months of this year that’s soon going to end. Our Saturdays at Casa Cenina, started in September and punctually followed on the first Saturday of October, November and December, didn’t simply give us the opportunity of “matching” a face to a number of names but they mainly let us touch from real your fondness for us; they let us understand the deepest meaning of this job of ours that – as we’ve repeated so many times in as many emails of ours – is also an ever-growing passion: the art of sharing it with you, building up, day by day, a well-rooted, trustworthy relationship.
This is why, after stopping our Saturdays at Casa Cenina in January (it’s too cold and too icy to even think of making you move from your houses!), we’re already thinking of some new events… They still have to take a precise and definitive shape, in the “gears of our minds” and the “meshes of our everyday” (which is, actually, always very busy, when not frenzied, as it has been for the last couple of weeks!), but we’re going to surprise you and surprise ourselves again soon, seeing once more that enthusiasm in your glance, while in your smile that spur, giving us the real energy every day!
Thank you so much, you all out there, for all this, with the heartfelt, sincere wish that the spirit of Christmas may be with you throughout the New Year that’s getting closer and closer
