SEG de Paris and Margot de Paris are the two most iconic brands in the tapestry industry, and it is no coincidence that they are named after the French capital in both cases: in fact, although there is no precise date for the birth of tapestry embroidery, it is believed to have originated in France.

From there, then, it has literally imposed itself everywhere in the world, with references even in high fashion, where even Dolce & Gabbana have proposed it on some of their ultra chic accessories!

And after all, although tapestry has experienced ups and downs among embroidery enthusiasts, it has never gone out of fashion - as evidenced also by the proposals of other celebrated brands such as Appleton, Bothy Threads and Luca's, for example - and, indeed, has been able to renew itself, moving from more classic subjects, to more modern designs.
