In May, the atmosphere is bucolic, and we are suddenly seized by a craving for seasonal embroidery: sparkling, fresh, and bright. Goodbye gray skies! We race on our bicycles with a charming little basket, capture the birdsong with the tip of the needle, embroider bags and small pouches adorned with a myriad of colorful butterflies, and gather all the red threads to create delightful cherries on a damask tablecloth. Happiness is in the meadow, you say? Perhaps… maybe. But for embroiderers, it’s definitely at the tip of the needle!
