Broderie sur gaze de soie
Silk lint is an extreme fine and elegant counted fabric for needlework (ideal for cross stitch and other kinds of stitches). Thanks to its quite narrow weft, this fabric is suitable for stitching miniatures, rich in details and counting from 16 to 22 stitches, or more, per centimeter. Being a transparent fabrics, stitchers will have to show all their ability on the back of their needlework, too, that has to be perfect! Particularly fashionable in the 19th century, this style is now getting back on fashion and with it all its associated crafting techniques.
This book illustrates both the basic stitching steps on silk lints, besides 17 brand new, original projects, to master this special art. Marie Thérèse Saint-Aubin, Annie Ciccatelli, Muriel Brunet, Isabelle Mazabraud-Kerlan, four prestigious, French designers together, to offer you a series of new and original projects.
