From Cosmo of Japan, this cotton-linen sashiko sampler is pre-printed with designs that disappear when washed. Enjoy combining different thread colors to make the design more modern or stitch all in one color for a traditional look. The samplers are great for making pillows, napkins, notebook covers and more.
The design is printed on one half of the sampler. The other half of the sampler has no design. Use the plain half as the backing for a pillow or other project, draw your own design on the second half or leave plain. Stitch through both layers for a little heavier fabric if using for a quilt square. In Japan, the samplers are stitched through both layers, hemmed and use for tea towels or table decorations.
50% cotton - 50% linen.
Finished size approximately: 12.5" x 12.5". You will need approximately 15m of thread to complete the sampler
