A little pear entirely covered in beads, from the Mill Hill pin range. Beads and treasures are attached one at a time on the perforated paper with a stitch much like half cross stitch: the work is fine but the design is small, so it can be finished in a few evenings even by someone trying beadwork for the first time.
The kit holds all the stitching materials, chart and instructions included. To wear it as a pin you will need a pin back, bought separately, plus a scrap of felt or card to neaten the reverse. The perforated paper is cut around the outline once the beading is done; it also works as a charm or an autumn ornament.
