Japanese Fabric - Hanafukin Blue

The Hanafukin is a traditional Japanese square cloth embroidered using the sashiko technique. It is often used as a napkin or a placemat.
Its name literally means “flower cloth,” referring to the delicate patterns that decorate these pieces. The Hanafukin is an excellent fabric for practicing sashiko, which highlights geometric or floral motifs while maintaining great simplicity and elegance.

- The 33 x 66 cm fabric is folded in half to create an embroidered square measuring 33 x 33 cm
- The ink disappears when washed after the embroidery is completed
