Soft, it does not snarl in the needle and stands up well to abrasion: ideal for cross stitch and counted thread work, needlepoint, free embroidery, bobbin lace and the restoration of tapestries and embroideries. Stitch with lengths of no more than 45 cm. Au Ver à Soie has made it since 1820: the name comes from a manufacturing process, not from Algeria.
