En retard !

«En retard !» by Madame Chantilly has a long horizontal format, more than twice as wide as it is tall: it suits a panoramic picture, a panel to hang above a door or a decorative band for a shelf. Its width and range of shades make it a long-term project, easier to follow if you already have some practice with counted cross stitch.

The purchase is for the chart only: fabric and threads are bought separately. The designer works on a pearl grey linen, which softens the tones and lets the pale colours stand out; the required materials list includes the model linen and DMC skeins, which can be added to the cart in one go. Stitching on Aida changes only the finished size.
