Description

1408 is a light green from the Madeira Stranded Silk range (Art. 018), a thread made of 100% pure Schappe silk with four divisible strands, colourfast and washable at 60 °C. The 5 m (approx. 5.5 yd) Spiralpack keeps the floss clean and tangle-free: you pull only the length you need from the bottom. Most stitchers work with 2 strands for cross stitch on 14-count Aida and 1 strand for outlines and backstitch.

Silk glides smoothly through the fabric and reflects more light than cotton, so it is worth checking the shade on your actual ground fabric. Below are the closest shades, useful for blending or for replacing a colour.
