Pure Linen Sotema 25L - Grey

Sotema 25L is the Italian mill's linen with 16 threads per centimetre in both directions: the even weave makes it easy to count accurately and to withdraw threads cleanly, and it is a little less fine than 30L (19 threads/cm), so the threads are easier to count. It suits classic counted thread stitches and refined work such as drawn thread borders, reticella and Sicilian drawn work on tablecloths, table centres, towels, sheets, curtains and cushions.

Cross stitch worked over two threads gives 20 stitches per inch: use one or two strands of stranded cotton, depending on the effect you want. Leave a generous margin around the design for hems and finishing.
